Zakiyaa is coming back with a vengeance! I am excited to announce that I am working on a full line of hip bags (aka fanny packs) and cannot wait to show them to you. I am hoping to fill my Etsy store with my new designs before the end of September. So stay tuned and keep checking back!

Hello everyone! Looks who's back, its me! I am slowly returning to sewing, and wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to start sewing more bags for my online store! I will be taking very minimal custom orders, and focusing on making bags to sell online, and perhaps in stores as well, as several local stores have expressed interest in the past. So keep an eye out this month, unique and fun bags coming your way!!

Once again, time for a little break from sewing. I will not be taking any orders until at least the month of May 2010. I apologize to anyone who wanted to order a bag, I need to focus on other tasks in my life this spring and return to sewing when I will have more time to dedicate to it.

Yes, I am still alive, and doing very well I might add! I am taking care of a few Christmas orders right now. If you are interested in a custom bag, I might not be able to complete your order before Christmas, but I will be available for work in January.

Custom purse / camera bag. I modified my Lola Tote so that it would accomodate an SLR camera and two extra lenses. This bag also has two small pockets for items like memory cards and a pocket on the side of the bag for a cellphone.

Here is my latest custom order, a lovely camera bag made from recycled denim, with a little hippie touch.

Please note that this bag is made to fit the client's camera and lens, I placed one of my old cameras in the bag for picture purposes, so it doesn't fit quite right.
